All types of sports
The year seems to be packed with sports. Even a non-lover of sports is tempted to watch with all the hype surrounding the matches. I do wonder how anyone is able to get any work done with so many fantastic matches going on. Maybe instead of summer vacation we should have sports vacation this year.It began with the IPL and the T20 world cup in Cricket. And after a dismal showing by the Indians , they started to bounce back with a win over arch rivals Pakistan in the Asia cup. At the same time started the much awaited FIFA world cup hand in hand with the Wimbledon. Not to forget F1 racing and the Tour de France side by side. So everyone is in a dilemma as to what they should be watching. Football is played at jet speed and a moment missed could mean a lot. Any game in fact would lose its charm if watched in bits and pieces and constant changing of the channel only irritates. There seems to be no solution to this question. I guess FIFA wins hands down over all else because its a once in four year event. So I guess all other sports have to wait till the sound of the vuvuzelas dies down.
After a desperate losing streak, the Chennai Super Kings yesterday managed to get back on the right track with a Royal victory over the Bangalore Challengers. This victory would provide a great confident booster for the team and should hopefully be a turning point. The team needs to string up a few more wins to stay alive in the competition. With the next few games to be played in Chennai, the home ground advantage has to be capitalized on. With tickets already sold out for the game on April 3rd against Rajasthan, we can expect solid support for the team. The game on Tuesday April 6th can be expected to be a cracker of a contest with the Kings taking on the Mumbai Indians who are on the top of the table. Tickets are available for the match at http://www.ticketgenie.in/ which is the official site for IPL tickets. Come on Chennai!!! Our team needs our support!!! So hurry and book your tickets soon and be there to Cheer our Kings.
